Researches and projects

The objective of the project is the development and testing of a highly replicable business model for the ADRION area that will constitute a novel supporting mechanism for innovative start-ups and existing SMEs. This will be achieved through setting up distributed local networks of relevant actors, redesigning of training modules to include sustainability and quality, and development of a web platform for identifying start-ups’ training needs.

The main objective of the present proposal is the development of a distributed one-stop- shop for supporting start-ups and existing innovative SMEs, in the form of local/regional networks that may undertake all the necessary tasks, commonly performed by large Science & Technology Parks (STP) or, partly only, by Incubators, sectoral-focused accelerators, and other BSO-type of entities, which are assisted by a very innovative web platform.

Specifically, the project foresees:

• Development of local/regional cooperation networks between all relevant stakeholders that will be “activated”, depending on the particular needs and type of the required support (pre-incubation, proof of concept, incubation, IP, seed/VC funding, mentoring etc.).
• Development of new training modules, mainly for accelerator programmes that take into account all relevant aspects of sustainability and quality management and certification, which will be incorporated in standard training and acceleration activities.
• Development of an on-line platform that can act as a single point of reference for information exchange between different innovation ecosystems.
• Development of an interregional cooperation network and implementation of a Joint Acceleration Programme.
