University of Donja Gorica (UDG) Joins Global Alliance and Partners with America’s Most Innovative University to Become Center for Innovation, Transformation, and Internationalization in the Balkans Region

What is the collaboration between UDG and ASU?This is a unique collaboration between two universities to bring a best-in-class education experience to the students of UDG through one of the top-ranked U.S public universities. Together, the institutions will focus on innovation and expanding access to quality higher education in the Balkans region. As part of the initiative, UDG will launch dual degree programs with ASU in a number of disciplinary domains. The deep partnership includes: having access to faculty, resources, and curriculum for hundreds of degree programs; opening potential pathways to dual degrees and accelerated masters; and harnessing the knowledge and power of what ASU is doing through the creation of cooperative research initiatives. Please note that ASU and UDG are distinct institutions that are each separately responsible for their own accreditation and enrolled students.

Do I earn a degree from ASU when I enroll at UDG?No, ASU and UDG are separate institutions, which means UDG students are not enrolled at ASU. In order to earn degrees from both UDG and ASU, you must be enrolled in a dual degree program, which requires that you apply to and meet ASU’s admission requirements.

How will this collaboration make a difference to my program if it is not a ASU dual degree?The teaching-learning outcomes of various programs will be enhanced in multiple ways through this collaboration. Program enhancements may include: integration of relevant ASU curriculum, hybrid learning supported by state-of-the-art ASU academic resources, global classroom learning plus accelerated masters and dual degree opportunities.

Will I be traveling to the U.S. for exchange programs etc.? If yes, is the cost for travel included in the fees?If you are part of the programs fully delivered in Montenegro, no extra cost will be associated. For some programs, there will be opportunities to study in Arizona. Extra costs will be defined by ASU.
