On Friday evening, December 13, 2024, the University of Donja Gorica (UDG) celebrated another successful calendar year. The annual gathering of the Alumni Club "Medožuč" brought together former UDG students, reaffirming the strength of a community that transcends time and space.

The evening began with a warm welcome and registration of alumni, who gathered to rekindle old friendships, forge new ones, and lay the foundation for closer collaboration and cohesion within the University network. The event was officially opened with an inspiring speech by UDG Rector, Prof. Dr. Veselin Vukotić, who emphasized the importance of unity and the pivotal role alumni play in shaping the future of the University.

A highlight of the evening was the address by the President of the Alumni Club "Medožuč," MSc Slađana Pavlović, who reflected on the club's achievements, activities, and results. She also announced future projects, emphasizing the importance of maintaining the "student spirit" within professional circles. This was followed by a speech from international alumnus, MSc Miloš Popović, who shared an inspiring story about his international professional journey, demonstrating how the values and knowledge acquired at UDG can have a global impact.

Another significant part of the program was the presentation of the Alumni Club’s new portal, an alumni platform designed to facilitate easier connections and idea exchanges among members. This platform aims to unite many generations of graduates who have contributed to making UDG and the broader community what it is today. More than just a networking tool, the alumni portal represents a space for reconnection, collaboration, and continued growth and development, as highlighted by MSc Milica Janković.

Additionally, new digital solutions were introduced to provide alumni with access to resources and an extensive network of contacts. The platform was developed within the Erasmus+ project AL4Life - Western Balkan Entrepreneurial University Alliances – Keeping in Touch for Lifelong Relations, in which UDG is a partner institution. The evening’s highlight was the nomination of the Alumni Club Ambassadors for 2025, symbolizing leadership and community engagement. Ambassadors were nominated for collaboration with UDG students (MSc Danilo Bulatović), for internationalization (MSc Anja Bošković), and for cooperation with businesses (MSc Nikola Mićunović).

The evening continued with a cocktail reception in UDG’s Njegoš Hall, where alumni had the opportunity to exchange experiences, ideas, and plans for future cooperation in an informal setting.

The annual gathering of the Alumni Club "Medožuč" once again demonstrated that the University of Donja Gorica is not just a place of education but also a family that fosters lasting connections and builds bridges toward a successful future.
