UDG will be hosting a lecture by Bjørn-Erik Leerberg titled Developing Petroleum Resource Management through the Rule of Law on March 14th at 12h in UDG Amphiteatar.
As Montenegro opens for a new industry of upstream hydrocarbons exploration and production, it will be vital for its economy and society to understand mechanisms of how it operates. What makes economies with fewer of hydrocarbon resources successful more than other economies with more of this resources who are less successful and consequently not distributing the wealth properly. How to manage this non-renewable resource in a sustainable manner and what are the lessons many have failed to observe. Mr. Leerberg will cover these and many other topics resulting from his vast experience from participating in and managing consultancy work on behalf of international organisations including the UN, national or regional governments, state owned and private international oil companies in Africa, Europe, FSU, Latin America, the Middle East and in the Far East.
Mr. Leerberg is a renowned expert, lawyer and scholar in the field of hydrocarbons/petroleum law and resource management.
