Training within the project Inclusive tertiary Education in the West Balkans – IDEA
At the University of Donja Gorica, Podgorica, in the period of 18th till 20th of October Follow-up Training of e-Accessibility Coordinators on the Relay Service was organized and held within the project Inclusive tertiary Education in the West Balkans – IDEA, as part of a Work package 2, aimed at establishing enhancing and operationalization of accessibility units for persons with disabilities.
The training was led by representatives of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece, as well as representatives of NGOs of the Association of Youth with Disabilities of Montenegro, the Foundation for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities from Albania and the Association of Paraplegics and Paralyzed Children of Kosovo.
The training was related to supporting deaf students and hard of hearing student, relay service for deaf student and hard of hearing students, assistive technology for students with hearing loss, and supporting student with hearing loss in Kosovo, Montenegro and Albania.
The training was attended, besides the representatives of the University of Donja Gorica, Montenegro, by representatives of partner institutions from Greece, Albania and Kosovo, who during the three-day event had the opportunity to hear presentations and exchange experiences as well as good practices in order to improve the accessibility of higher education for people with disabilities
