The kick off meeting of the consortium of the HORIZON Research and Innovation project: Stone monument ensembles and the climate change impact- STECCI was held in Sarajevo from September, 21st to 23rd. In front of the University of Donja Gorica, which is one of the partners in the project, the meeting was attended by Prof. Sandra Tinaj and Prof. Anđela Jakšić-Stojanović, who are part of the project team that, in the next four-year period, will participate in the implementation of activities that include examining the impact of climate change on this significant segment of cultural heritage that has been under the protection of UNESCO since 2016, as well as designing a proposal of a model for their protection, in accordance with the recommendations and guidelines of UNESCO. Special attention will be devoted to the creation of a proposal for a strategy of the inclusion of stecci in the tourist offer, based on the implementation of the most modern information and communication technologies and in accordance with the principles of sustainable tourist development.
