INTERNATIONAL CELEBRATION OF ERASMUS DAY 2021 AT UDG!
On Friday, October 15, 2021, the National Erasmus + Office organized a cluster meeting on "Inclusion and Diversity in Erasmus + Projects at Montenegrin Universities: Achieved Results and Upcoming Challenges" as part of the international celebration of Erasmus Day in cooperation with UDG. The cluster meeting brought together local coordinators of all Tempus and Erasmus + projects that addressed the topic of inclusion and diversity in higher education, as well as those projects that have an incorporated dimension of inclusion in their project activities. University of Donja Gorica was the first university to initiate issues of inclusion and diversity in higher education institutions in Montenegro in 2012 through the Tempus project "Support and Inclusion of students with disabilities in higher education institutions in Montenegro" SINC@HE, which was successfully implemented. This laid the foundations for the implementation of numerous projects that followed within the Tempus and Erasmus + programs.
The purpose of the meeting was to initiate discussion on inclusion and diversity in higher education in Montenegro through participation in the Erasmus + program, and to connect relevant Erasmus + project coordinators, university management as well as creators and decision makers in the higher education system. This is especially important because the issues of inclusion and diversity are among the key focuses of this year's edition of Erasmus on 2021. Therefore, the meeting was a great way to further promote this key priority of the new cycle of programs and thus raise awareness of the importance of prioritizing this topic at the local level during future participation in the new cycle of programs.
