ECOBIAS Round table at UDG
On the 15th of October, a round table within the project ECOBIAS was organised at UDG. The purpose of this event was to present and discuss the importance of continuing education in environmental protection. The presentation of doc dr Marija Vugdelic encompassed the gaps in opportunities for skills development for professionals working within the environmental sector. Particular focus was given on the sector of freshwater proteciton, considering Montenegro’s path to EU accession, and the requirements for harmonising our legislation, policy, approach and reporting with the EU requirements, especially in relation to the Water Framework Directive. The fruitful discussion that followed the presentation highlighted the need for more opportunities for the professionals to tune their skills in relation to new international policies and requirements that are constantly being updated.
