Rotary YOUNG FRIENDS Stipendije
Rotari klub Podgorica sponzoriše dva kandidata za Rotary YOUNG FRIENDS stipendije. Mogu se prijaviti svi studenti i apsolventi starosti između 20 i 30 godina. Više informacija o ovim stipendijama moguće je naći u nastavku ovog obavještenja.
Rotary YOUNG FRIENDS Scholarships
We have the pleasure of announcing that a limited number of Rotary YOUNG FRIENDS scholarships will be made available for students from former Yugoslavia for studies at the International Summer School from 20 June – 31 July 2015 and participation in a pre-session workshop 14 – 19 June.
What the scholarships cover:
The scholarships cover the total program expenses, which includes room and board (oncampus housing), all course/seminar fees, pocket money, and return travel expenses between your nearest international airport and Norway.
2015 International Summer School
The International Summer School (ISS) at the University of Oslo offers courses in the humanities and social sciences to an average of 550 students from 90 nations every summer.
In addition to the academic instruction there is a rich cultural program, debates, sports, excursions and informal get-togethers.
Through the academic program and extracurricular activities the goal is to increase understanding and goodwill between people from different national and cultural backgrounds. Read more on the ISS website: www.uio.no/summerschool
The Rotary YOUNG FRIENDS Scholarship Program The Rotary YOUNG FRIENDS scholarship program is part of a confidence-building project aiming at stimulating dialog and creating mutual understanding between students from different parts of Southeastern Europe.
In cooperation with the Nansen Center for Peace and Dialogue (NCPD) (www.fredssenter.no), a seminar focusing on democracy, human rights and peaceful conflict resolution will be arranged prior to the ISS session, 14 – 19 June 2015.

In addition, the participating Rotary and Rotaract clubs in Oslo will organize some get-togethers during the ISS session.
Scholarship criteria
• Enrolled in university-level studies, or obtained a university degree
• A good command of English, both orally and in writing, is essential, as all the relevant courses are taught in English
• An interest in humanities and social sciences
• An active and demonstrated interest in the development of your local community
•Active participation in student organizations an/or human rights organizations
• An aspiration to hold leadership positions and make a difference, be it in politics, government or business
During their stay in Norway, the students are expected to take an active part in the international and social activities arranged by NCPD and ISS.
After returning home, the students are expected to actively engage in local community affairs (i.e. municipality, university, school etc.), to promote and practice the skills learned in Norway helping to promote peace and reconciliation.

The scholarships cover all costs for the students, including travel, course/seminar fees, board & lodging etc. This scholarship program is financed by Oslo Vest Rotary Club and Rotary club Podgorica.
English proficiency required for studies at ISS Applicants who are not native speakers of English must document their proficiency in English by taking one of the following internationally recognised tests:
IELTS and TOEFL test results must not be older than two years. Please make sure that your test result is valid at the time of application.
IELTS academic with a minimum score of:
For courses at the Bachelor's level: 5.0 For courses at the Master level: 6.0 Please upload a copy of your test result. The University of Oslo will verify your test result online. It is currently not possible to submit test results with an IELTS institutional code.
TOEFL with a minimum score of:
For courses at the Bachelor's level: 500 points on the paperbased test (PBT), or 60 points on the internetbased test (IBT) For courses at the Master's level: 550 points on the paperbased test (PBT), or 80 points on the internetbased test (IBT) Official test report forms must be sent directly to the University of Oslo. The TOEFL code number for the University of Oslo is 5695. If you upload a copy of your test result, please make sure that the results are also sent directlyfrom ETS.
Priority will be given to qualified applicants with restricted means to travel and study abroad. Please note that the number of applicants usually far exceed the number of available scholarships!
